No Church In The Wild - Jay Z and Kanye West
Kanye West and Jay Z’s song "No Church In The Wild" is entirely based around Christianity. They question certain aspects of religion, saying things such as “I’m wonderin’ if a thug’s prayers reach,” and “what’s a god to a non-believer?” They question key points that many people wonder. Things such as does a person’s life style and personal choices determine whether or not he will be able to reach God? Or what difference would God make to a non-religious person. This song really focuses on pain and suffering that people in certain situations endure. It is another song that has a religious rapper questioning if they are in fact a sinner without God, even though they have faith in God himself.

There is no secret as to how Kanye feels about Kanye. There is also no secret as to how Kanye feels about God. Or how he feels like a God? There is a mixture of both. Kanye West has faith in God. He also feels as though God uses him to speak to the mass population. Whether or not this is the case, he is using his platform for the better, if you can get past that strong love for himself. All jokes aside, Kanye does a great job of speaking his mind about religion, and just about anything else he feels should be talked about.
Together, Jay Z and Kanye West created No Church In The Wild. This song highlights issues that are happening all around us. About sinning, thugs wondering if they are even able to communicate with God, God in relation to people who don't believe in Him, comparisons between themselves and Jesus Christ, comparing love to scripture, and much more.
Jay Z's religion is less vocal than Kanye's, but still present. He has worn crosses, rapped about sinning, and collaborated on songs such as this. Just because he isn't always preaching about his beliefs, doesn't mean that they don't exist.
